Reiki is a Japanese word which
means "Universal Life Energy." It is actually two words:
Rei and Ki. Ki refers to the energy which makes our bodies alive,
Rei is the Cosmic source of this energy. We are all born with
Reiki. I work with the Usui Shiko Riyoho, the Usui System of
Natural Healing named after Dr. Mikao Usui who rediscovered the
system in the late 1800's.
Reiki is hands on healing. The
Reiki practitioner is not doing the healing. She is the conduit
for Universal Life Force Energy. It helps to balance the body
and quieten the mind. It can be used in conjuction with allopathic
medicine. It is not a religion, and can be used with all faiths.
In studying various forms of
vibrational healing, some of them quite complicated, I was led
to take a Reiki I course. Having been told that Reiki was basic,
overly simplistic and rather silly, I was just curious. But after
experiencing powerful changes in myself and my family during
the month of self-healing following Reiki I, I realized that
Reiki's simplicity is the absolute beauty of it. I continued
to read books, practice self healing and 16 months later took
Reiki II. After further study and intense self healing with impressive
results on both myself and our pets, I decided to become a Reiki
Master Teacher. I am a member of the International Association
of Reiki Professionals (IARP), and I teach out of my home studio.
I have a degree in music education, so teaching comes naturally
to me, and I am happy to merge these skills.
I offer my clients a unique package
of distance healing combined with a personal harp meditation.
After performing a distance healing, I sit at the harp and record
a reverent meditation specifically for you which you can download,
or I can send it to you on a disk. I choose a key, mode and rhythm
pattern that is purely intuitive based on what I know about you.
It is usually about 12 minutes in length, and you can set it
to play over and again.
I also facilitate meditations
in which I play music and suggest affirmations for balancing
the body's energy fields. |
